According to the Nebraska Board of Massage, they will only accept continuing education in ethics through home study courses.

Nevada

Massage therapy continuing education requirements for license renewal vary from state to state and the laws are constantly changing. It is our current understanding that Nevada has moved from a one year renewal cycle to a two year renewal cycle.
If this is your first 2 year renewal then you will need only 12 CE hours, but for all renewals thereafter you will need 24 CE hours every two years.
For any licenses issued between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2020 - you will be the INITIAL group to start the new two year renewal period. These INITIAL two year renewals will require only 12 CE hours; however, all renewals thereafter will require 24 CE hours every two years.

New Jersey

It is our current understanding that New Jersey requires massage therapists to complete 20 CE hours related to massage and bodywork therapy every 2 years for license renewal. Of the 20 total CE Hours, 2 hours must cover ethics.

Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 virus and in the interest of protecting the safety and health of New Jersey residents, the Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy is allowing licensees to complete all the required 20 hours of continuing education (CE) online (or home study) for the 2020 renewal cycle. Therefore you can complete your 20 CE hour requirement through any of our
home study programs.

New Mexico

It is our current understanding that New Mexico requires massage therapists to complete 16 CE hours by October 31st, every 2 years, for license renewal. Of the 16 CE hours, 4 CE hours must be in ethics.

New York

NOTE: The New York Board of Massage DOES NOT ACCEPT courses related to appearance enhancement practices as defined by the Board, courses on animal massage, aromatherapy courses, marketing or business courses, or any courses in Reiki, Feldenkrais Method or The Alexander Technique.

North Carolina

Massage therapy continuing education requirements for license renewal vary from state to state and the laws are constantly changing. It is our current understanding that North Carolina requires massage therapists to complete 24 CE hours every 2 years for license renewal, of which 3 CE hours must be in ethics.
While license expirations indicate December 31st, it is important to know that the renewal deadline for North Carolina is November 1st.

 As of March 16, 2020 the North Carolina Board of Massage & Bodywork Therapy has stated that for the renewal period ending in December 31, 2020 the Board will be allowing ALL CE courses to be online/home study. Therefore, you may take all of the required 24 CE hours through our home study programs.

North Dakota

Massage therapy continuing education requirements for license renewal vary from state to state and the laws are constantly changing. It's our current understanding that in North Dakota licenses must be renewed every 2 years from the time of initial licensure. The number of continuing education hours required depends on how long you've been licensed/practicing massage therapy.

  • Licensed/practicing 1-14 years: 24 CE hours are required. A maximum of 10 CE hours can be obtained through home study programs.
  • Licensed/practicing 15-24 years: 6 CE hours are required. All 6 hours may be obtained through home study programs.
  • Licensed/practicing 25+ years: 3 CE hours are required. All 3 hours may be obtained through home study programs.

We have not submitted any courses for approval for this renewal period.

Ohio

Massage therapy continuing education requirements for license renewal vary from state to state and the laws are constantly changing. It's our current understanding that, in Ohio, the Ohio Board of Massage does not require continuing education for massage therapists' license renewal.

Massage therapists license renewal dates are staggered dependent upon the licensee's last name. Your date should be included in your renewal information.

Oklahoma

Oregon 

Massage therapy continuing education requirements for license renewal vary from state to state and the laws are constantly changing. It is our current understanding that Oregon requires massage therapists to complete 25 CE hours every 2 years for license renewal.
Of the 25 hours, 15 CE hours must be completed in a live classroom setting, this includes your 4 CE hours in ethics. As of July 1, 2019, you must take the 1 hour online Pain Management Module provided by the Oregon Pain Management Commission at least once by your next required CE reporting.

Beginning January 2020, you must complete at least 1 CE hour of cultural competency approved by the Oregon Health Authority every other renewal.

home study programs.

 With the exception of courses related to animal massage, self care or ethics (ethics must be taken in a live class).
